Did you know that most European kitchen gardens have a cold frame to grow herbs and veggies through the winter months?!
By creating a cinder block base in ground below the frost line and topping with one of our custom cold frames, you can achieve a winter garden too! The cinder block base helps to insulate the roots and keeps them from freezing. Grow your cool weather crops all year round!
Cold frames placed directly on the ground are great for hardening off plants, starting and storing your seedlings outside in the spring rather than on your counter. They are also a great place for those potted perennials you don’t want to put in your garage during the winter months.
